KING OF THE CANARY ISLANDS

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands.

Tenerife has a lot to offer. Experience the island on a bus trip, by car or on a bike.

Tenerife is sunny and dry in the south and lush in the north with green forests, flowering valleys, banana plantations - and the volcano, Teide, with the snow-capped peak. The volcano is with its 3,718 meters the highest mountain in Spain and Tenerife's biggest attraction, where the unique lava desert that surrounds the volcano, is a great experience.

The capital Santa Cruz is full of life, and here is something for everyone. Cultural buildings, parliament or shopping at Plaza de Espana or Plaza de la Candelaria, where you will find more of the famous international brands. To experience all the sights, you can hop on and off the open buses, which run past everything that is worth seeing.

World-class Sandy Beach

If you like beaches with turquoise waters, palm trees and the familiar golden sand, then you will also find it on Tenerife. 6 km. north of the capital, Santa Cruz, the beach, Las Teresitasis, is located. In shallow waters, the beach is ideal for families, and covered by mountains, which blocks out the wind, ensures that the idyll is top notch. The sand is imported from the Saharas, and the shape of the beach is the familiar crescent shape, where your thoughts are immediately drawn to images of a near perfect beach - because that is what Las Teresitas is.

The beach is to be found on the Anaga peninsula, which, in addition to a sumptuous beach also offers an equivalent natural beauty. Steep mountains towering the majestic background of green valleys and white-painted houses.

The Forgotten Village

A classic tourist attraction on Tenerife is the Masca Valley. Earlier, the village, Masca, went under the name of 'the forgotten city', because no other than the local visited the place. That is certainly not the case anymore. Despite its seclusion, the village is certainly not forgotten today - the world has opened its eyes for its beauty. Now tourism flourish in the area, where tourists come to see the old village with small primitive houses, well situated  in a beautiful and dramatic valley.
